Progress on the layout room

Since the last post, I've done, and had done lots of work on the garage. After clearing out all the stuff from the last picture, we were able to discover why the room was so damp, one the floor had rising damp issues, and that water was coming in through the up and over door, and working through the wall that was built behind it. Essentially the door had been sealed with  brown parcel tape and the wall behind it had been built of porous cinder blocks! This all meant that I had to rip out all of the flooring, insulation, and boarding as it was all damp and rotting. After that I got the builders in to remove the cinder block wall, and to brick up the metal door (which fell out and took the corner of the garage with it when we tried to open it!). Here we are in the middle of doing that. Once that was done, I still had issues with the damp coming up through the floor.
